Description

This new 2023 vintage follows on from the 2021 vintage, which won the Grand Jury Prize for Best White Wine in the World 2024 at the Mondial des Vins Blancs.

Terroir

Grown on clay-limestone and granite soils, this wine is the fruit of thirty-year-old vines with very deep roots. The vines, which are slightly millerandaged, produce small but highly concentrated grapes in small quantities. For this Vendange Tardive, the grapes are overripe and have a high concentration of noble rot. At harvest time in mid-November, the grapes had a candied appearance.

Pairing

The power and finesse of this wine allow it to start or end a meal on a high note. It also pairs perfectly with foie gras.

Service

Serve between 8 and 10°C.

Ageing

This is a wine for aging, which can be enjoyed today or in 5 or 10 years.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, then pressed whole in a pneumatic press. Traditional fermentation under temperature control.
