Description

Its nose reveals candied and honeyed aromas, while the palate is generous and velvety, expressing notes of overripe peach, hay, and hazelnut. A sweet, rich wine with beautiful length.

Terroir

This Pinot Gris comes from a clay-limestone terroir, which allows the roots of the vine to grow very deep.
The grape variety planted is a Pinot Gris with small berries which gives, in small quantities, a very concentrated juice.
For this Sélection de Grains Nobles, there is a very advanced overmaturation of the grapes and a concentration of noble rot. At the time of harvest, the grapes had a candied aspect.

Pairing

It is an aperitif of great quality, but it will also be marvellous with foie gras, dessert … or without any accompaniment!

Service

Serve between 8 and 10°C

Ageing

It is a wine for laying down, which can be enjoyed today as well as in 10 or 15 years.

Vinification

The grapes are picked and sorted by hand, then pressed in a pneumatic press. Traditional fermentation under temperature control.
